Talking In tank mods really work....

I installed the ITP pre-filter kit and cut my vent and fill tubes. I did my first fill-up....worked great.

My opinion, the engine is a lot quiter. Have been thru 2 drive thrus and have not had to kill the engine once.

So all in all I think it worked nicely.

Note: when doing this mod...everything comes out nice and easy, but don't try to put the tank back in by yourself.

I have a transmission jack that works perfectly, even with a full tank.

I used a tip I read a couple of months ago. I ran tie down straps across the front and back of tank from frame rail to frame rail. Once I was ready it was real easy to lower the tank a little at a time until everthing was disconnected and then just lowered it to the floor. Raising it back up using the ratcheting tie downs was a snap. And I was able to do it by myself without a jack.

ok i have a question... i know the fittings on the fuel line tend to suck air into the fuel before the pump (i remember dan posting a pict. of it) which is one of the things the "intank" mods are supposed to fix. but if you haven't removed you fuel filter housing the fuel still goes into it, passes through the filter/water seperater and than is draw from the bottom...so how much air, if any is getting to the injectors? i guess one would have to pull the fuel line off the fuel rail and check it there
