Will These Heads Fit
I AM NOT CERTIAN ON WHAT THE CASTING # IS ON MY 460 BUT IT CAME OUT OF A 85 F250 4X4 MANUAL TRANS AND THE MOTOR IS EXTERNALY BALLENCED AND IS PAINTED GRAY
I AM LOOKING TO DO MY FIRST REBUILD WITH MY TAX MONEY I AM GETTING BACK ABOUT $4K AND NEED HELP GETTING CLOSE TO 550-600HP
THE TRUCK IS A 76 F350 SUPER CAMPER SPECIAL AND IS MY WEEK END TRUCK IT MIGHT SEE A TRACK SOMETIMES ANY HELP WOULD GRATELY WELCOMED
HERE ARE THE SPECS ON THE HEADS
All New Parts And Machine Work. The Only Used Parts Are The Castings Themselves.
Machine Work As Follows:
-Cleaned,Magnafluxed For Cracks,And Bead Blasted.
-Bronze Guide Liners Installed In All Guides.
-Hardened Seats Installed In All Exhaust Seats. These Seats Are 100% Compatible With Unleaded Fuel.
-3-Angle Valve Job,With Seats Enlarged For 2.250" Intake / 1.750" Exhaust Valves.The Seats Have Been Blended Into The Ports With A 75 Degree Cutter.
-Milled .010" To "Clean Up" The Head Gasket Surface.
-Final Washed And Assembled.
New Parts As Follows:
-(16) One-Piece, Swirl Polished Stainless Valves, 2.250" Intake / 1.750" Exhaust.
-(16) Bronze Guide Liners.
-(8) Hardened Exhaust Valve Seats.
-(16) Valve Seals.
-(16) Chrome-Moly Steel Spring Retainers.
-(32) Hardened Valve Locks.
-(16) Performance Valve Springs, Installed At 115 Lbs. Seat Pressure, Suitable For Most Hydraulic And Mild Solid Lifter Cams Up To .600" Lift.
-(16) 7/16" Rocker Arm Studs.
