Thanks for asking. The trucks in the 48-52 era are F-1's. If you start with $1000 for a truck with no running gear (engine/trans) if it were a 10. Since your estimate is a 7 we can assume that you could get $700 for the thing. This assumes that is a roller.
Many hidden flaws lay in hidden areas on trucks that are 50 to 60 years old. You must subtract the appropriate amount for repairs. You can bet that a 700 dollar truck will have a good 300 dollars worth of repair to get it back to being a thousand dollar truck.
Other assumptions include that the steering and suspension is in driveable shape, that brakes can work with servicing and that all of the electrical is there and functional.
Since we are all in the dark and making these assumptions, my guess is that you could sell this thing for 500-700 dollars. This is based on a good driving '54 with a y-block, licensed and inspected in west Texas that cost $2200 and a burned up Chevy Blazer in trade.
This would be somewhat higher in southern California, but you would be our expert there. While we are on the subject... my neighbor has a car similar to the one you put on the board. It hasn't an engine/transmission but he has a title. What is it worth?
The trucks in the picture of the Old Navy trucks look a whole lot better than the ones I've seen in the stores up here in Canada, a $100 would be a very generous offer to the ones I've seen. The ones on that trailer look fairly straight and would bring a better price, but what do I know I'm only a Canuk, lol

helpfully, himmelberg
if the body is in good shape, and assuming its an 04-05, 4k max with prestine interior and exterior. thanx for the help
My best guess is that Corona prices are about double your formula. A rust-free, straight F-1 in good shape less drive train would bring $2500. A "7" would bring $1500.
Then of course, if he drove up the road to Pomona for the Father's Day Swap Meet, it would bring $20,000.

Why is youth wasted on the young? I am still laughing!!!
