First and foremost, welcome to FTE. Also a proud owner of couple 65 F100's. If you have the bumper brackets there are a number of Ford parts suppliers that carry an assortment of rear bumpers. Suggest check local dealerships and save on shipping. Word of caution, there are some flimsy 'cheap' bumpers out there, suggest go for high quality it's worth it in the end, no pun intended. If you do not have the rear brackets, may be able to find a set at local 'pic n pull' believe interchangeable between 64-72 but want to check on that. Have not checked lately, some of the Ford parts suppliers; i.e., LMC, NPD, perhaps Green sales, and couple others use to carry reproductions but kinda pricey. Here is an article out of 'classic magazine' may find interesting. I am sure other members will have some additional suggestions, might want to check FTE classified. Again WELCOME!!.
Short answer is yes, there are rear bumpers that resemble the fronts. Long answer...It depends on if you are looking for a step side bumper or styleside bumper. Step side bumpers and brakets are readily available at places like Dennis Carpenter. Styleside bumpers are also readily available but the mounting brackets used to be hard to find. Recently, DC and others are now offering the mounting brackets, but be prepared, the brackets cost nearly as much as the bumper.
I have also read many times that the 73-79 same style bumper bracket will
also work on the older bumpers, but please keep in mind that the 73-79 bumper will space the bumper brackets wider, there for needing a spacer each
side to use 73-79 bumper. Now if you do end up needing just the brackets
and you have found the bumper 64-72, check out (Blue Oval Truck Parts)they are on the sponsor list on the left side of this page.
click store, on there home page ,the brackets for 73-79 are on the right side of the page and they
are marked down from 99 dollars to 79 dollars.
