i have a 1979 f350 camper special and it wont start. i put new plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, coil and ignition module,and jumped the key switch and it wont fire off. i ended up running the battery dead one night while i was replacing the water pump gaskets and it ran fine that night the next morning after it was all back together i tried to start and all i got was crank,crank,crank. and thats it. now i dont even get a crank. please help it would be greatly apprecited
Don't over look the possibility of a bad battery. I've seen batteries so bad, that you could not jump them or charge them enough to start the engine. I had this happen to a battery that I even measured 12V with a multimeter, but it turned out to have a dead cell in it. Also make sure all your electrical connections are clean and tight including grounds.
