update picking up my 6 injectors tommorow!should be easy goin!but i am not gona worry about getting all the oil out of the cylinders!ill just burn it out!
I'm very near 65 years old and have owned, raced, off-roaded and beat the hell out of every kind of vehicle you can think of. The only real junk I have owned was a couple of Chrysler products. Corvettes, I've had plenty, but not all that practical as an everyday driver. This PSD is beyond a doubt the most reliable of any and all vehicles I've ever owned. I've also babied all of them, except for the race cars and hill climbing in California with my off-road stuff. Thank God I finally grew out of that expensive crap. Maybe you just have a bad one by some stroke of bad luck.
I had something similar happen to me. I replaced the #7. shortly after #4 was acting up, so i replaced all other injectors and have had jo issues since. Good luck to you.
Medhvac the best way to clear the cylinders is to remove the glow plugs and turn the engine over with a big bar by hand for a couple of revolutions. A 24mm 12 point socket is required. Any oil left over in the cylinders will squirt out of the glow plug holes like a whale breathing so cover the engine with a piece of cardboard or something.
After that crank on the starter for about 15 seconds. Do that 2 or three times. That will help fill the HPOP rail back up without making the starter turn against the compression of the engine.
Then reinstall the glow plugs, (How about some new ones while they are out?) and button everything else up.
It should start in less than 30 seconds crank time if you've done everything right.
ok another update! i put my 6 new injectors in and cranked the engine that was a no go.had hydro lock!lmao i shoulda listened.
Well...at least get most of it out before trying to crank it.(quote)
so i had too do this!
