Engine Thermostat Question
This morning it was +10-degrees F in the St. Paul, Minnesota area. I normally do not let the Ranger run in the driveway to warm it up regardless of how cold it might be outside. I simply take off, drive at a reasonable speed until the engine and cabin temperature reaches its normal operating temperature.
But, this morning upon starting it I was called back into the house. The truck sat in the driveway, running, for 15-minutes. Upon my return to it, the temp gauge was still on the cold reading and the cabin temp had risen ever so slightly. When operated at normal city or highway speeds the engine always reaches its normal operating temperature. Do you think that the thermostat is stuck open or do I simply have a cool running Ranger?
