What the blazes is simple about the imperial system of weights and measures?

Metric is indeed more simple and a superior method of measure. While a bit more complicated, the Imperial system is not that difficult to master and was simple enough to use in everyday life. The simple ended when the U.S. decided to integrate the metric system and "phase out" the Imperial system. That would be great, but we are still putting quarts of oil into 5.0Liter motors, have to have 2 sets of tools, and in some cases need both sets to work on one car. It's easy enough to get a liter or 2 of Coke, but milk is still a gallon. I never said that the Imperial measuring method was simpler but before cars became half- metric half standard, things were simpler. If you can't see that, then just pull a 74 up next to a 2007, and pop the hoods-simple will become obvious. And you are wrong about it being "about time", it's 30 years past time to complete the transition.

That'd be the time for us Americans to go back up there and trade in all that Canadian change we got in spending our US dollars then.

Actually...................the 351 isn't a 351, but a 352. Same bore & stroke as the FE motor, but Ford had to name it something else to avoid the confusion. Which they ended up creating anyway with three different 351's Hemi------loved the quarts thing.
