hey fellas whats up? im new on here and ive looked through a bunch of threads with no talk of my problem. about a year ago i upgraded to the heavier duty LUK? clutch. everythings great except after a few months the speedo along with odometer and cruise intermitantly stopped working, id say it only works 10% of the time. thanks guys and take it easy on the new guy.
p.s. its a '00, 2wd, 6spd, reads about 125000 but really by now probably has over 140000
I would start where Scott said. The VSS is on top of your rear end, it has a plug in connection on it. Unplug it and take the sensor off and clean it. Make sure the connection is on good. If that does not fix the problem, I would change it for the price.
You can also get the sensor from Napa.. P/N 530780.. $10.49.. Napa calls it a ABS sensor.).. You might think about changing out the fluild also. Read some posts where the metal flakes in the fluid would affect the sensor..
