I have a 76 F100 that has been re-wired by the previous owner. I know the truck runs, but the wiring has been somewhat scavenged. What would be a quick way to get it to fire over and run, not drive? A hot wire to the coil from the battery? If so which post of the coil? I can short across the solenoid to crank it. Thanks
attach a jumper wire from the battery to the Brown wire (I terminal wire) and turn the key or momentarily use a jumper wire from the battery to the S terminal of the battery
I used the remote start method to get an Audi running a while back. I had to bypass a bad ignition tumbler black box, and did so with a push button starter. A wiring PITA but doable.

the 1st time i used the wireing diagrams i posted it took about 2 hours. the last time i did it i think it took closer to 15-30 min start to finish. but i wasnt wiring any options up (headlights, radio, tail lights....) just made it so that it would run and move. yes it was in my derby truck (79 f250).
