that is what i am trying to figureout the title says 76 but i know that isnt what it really is. someone has built this truck out of a bunch of others or just put a door on it to have a title

well i am gussing the truck is a 79 the tag was on the drivers side about where the winshield washer hose is attached.

That's where they are on 78/79's.

there is no other tags on this truck anywhere, axle housings, transfercase or anything. are there numbers on these componets (other than bolted on tags)that would tell me what they are?

i found a sticker on the underside of the hood that says catylist sounds like an emissions sticker ans the inside of the hood is the same color as the firewall is under the tag i took off so i think the hood is the original.
