hi Stingrayj72, just wanted to tell ya that your friend doesn't know what he's talking about. he definitly doesn't know what a c.j. head looks like. look back at some of the other posts here. 14mm (small) plugs are the only ones that will work. don't buy any c.j. parts from your friend otherwise your going to be very disappointed! later C.J. ....

NOT true...1970 CJ's had two bolt mains with a hydraulic cam, 1971 CJ's had 4 bolt mains with a hydraulic cam.
All SCJ's (Super Cobra Jets)were 4 bolt mains with solid lifter cams. This information is from the Ford Motorsport SVO catologe.

the best advice i or anyone else can give YOU is that if you really have a 429, don't touch it, and especially don't let your friend near it. if you need a book to rebuild a motor, then it's way to big of a project for you.

ONLY the boss blocks have screw in freeze plugs from the factory. but usually any machine shop can put these in for you if you want to pay the price. C.J.

if you are reffering to me what makes you think i'm speaking in a harsh voice?? i only put certain words in bold print to be specific on a certain word or group of words. it's difficult to write something down and hope the person is reading it the same way it was intended for. one person can write down a sentence, and ten people can interpet it ten different ways. see it just happen. so rest assured it wasn't..

So me saying something about you being an ********* is what's wrong with these boards, and you being the ********* in the first place is perfectly okay. Okay, I get it. So stingray may have been a little bit "ignerant" as he called it, but that in no way makes a post like your's welcome.
