do you side or rear load it? is it top heavy at all?
I side load my ATV.The ATV is a 2005 Suzuki King Quad.
My truck is a 2004 Ford F250 4-door crew cab with a short box (6.9 foot bed) and the 6.0L Power Stroke diesel engine.
It feels a little top heavy but I don't drive my truck like a maniac or like I stole it, either with the ATV up top or not. Too much foot into the throttle or too much speed and the fuel just gets sucked out of the tank too fast. I like fuel mileage especially since diesel fuel has been more per gallon than gasoline for a couple of years now. I drive the truck for fuel mileage, not speed.
How does the truck feel with the 2 four wheelers on it? I have been thinking about the same carrier and either putting 2 Arctic cat 500's on it, or 1 AC 500 and a Honda Fourtrax 300. I just wasn't too sure about the stability, especially since my truck is lifted.
I have air bags in the rear so the ride is pretty stable..The ramps are kind of steep on my stock truck, with your 6" lift and 38" tires it may make loading the atv's a little hairy..LOL..Be sure to post your thoughts after driving them up for the first time..LOL..
