Changed every 15K on the money, I beleive I just changed them 5K ago. The cam sensor was changed the first time the problem arose and it seemed to work for maybe 5k miles, but still have the same problem.
CMP/CPS issues are usually pretty good about leaving a code. Are you getting a Ford CPS or an aftermarket one? I'd check out the wiring and plug real well since you've had to replace it so many times. You're doing worse with those than the 7.3's.
I didn't realize you already had it at a shop. If there are now codes present then unless your dealing with low or dirty oil then it's time to start wiggling wiring harnesses & connectors next time you have a no start condition. I wouldn't think 50 degree no starts would be glow plug related, but you can test a GPR easily enough, but I think the Excursions have a GPCM which would leave a code.
Thanks. I was starting to think it could possibly be electrical related. The cam sensor was replaced with a factory one and it did through a code at the time. The dealer also thought it could be some type of Control module when the cam sensor was replaced, but they put the cam sensor in and the truck started. This could have been by chance that the truck started and in all reality the control module was realy the problem. Come to think of it my power outlet in the dash board has quit working, which could also lead me to think something electrical could be going wrong with the truck.
