Choke Thermostat Wire

I had a guy work on my truck and he cut the wire for the Choke Thermostat.
Does it run to Starter Soleniod?
Needless to sat the truck won't idle to well this morning.
The choke is not opening

Actually, that wire goes to the back of the alternator. I *think* it attaches to the "S" post.

Yes it does go on the "S" terminal. It was originally white/black.

Does it need a fuse in it?

I'm not aware of any fuse in it. It could be a resistor wire, or fusible link, though..
