Antifreeze

I have the green stuff, Going to replace with the same stuff.. Can I use any type of Green antifreeze??

Any of the big name brand green stuff should be fine. Don't forget the additive.

I would double check the container of antifreeze and look for that its meets Ford spec's, which is ESE-M97B44-A @ 50/50 mix. (got mine from Napa.. ) and like Chris says, add the SCA additive.. My manual says to add 4 pints if changing out the coolant..(maybe just 3 pints to start with). After running for awhile, check the SCA level with test strips.. Too much is not good, too little is not good.. or... change to the gold or red extended coolants.. no need for the SCA additive..

Dont want to Hi jack, but I didnt think the additive was always needed, The red stuff I just bought said no additives needed, so long as I cap off iwth the same stuff..

Look For Low Silicate, With The Ford Specification

Additives are only required for the old fashioned green coolant. You'll be fine with the red not using additives.
