bypassing smog pump?
has anyone bypassed the pump on a 1994 5.0? what size belt would you get?
I just bought the truck and the previous owner just cut the line out of the back of the pump and left it installed... i have this donut gasket leaking sound coming out of the engine under acceleration, and im wondering if its the air being pumped out of the back of the smog pump????

Bypassin depends on where your tensioner is. If its on top between the alt and the ac, you can, if its between the smog and alt you cant. I have tried and the belt is 1 size to small or 1 size to big. If you have the 2nd choice.
