Where is your post? What prices? Do what? I'm as clueless as you, and I know you weren't directing this question at me , but I've had posts not post for no reason whatsoever, so I just had to re-type them, and re-post them, which is a real pain for "ol' 2 finger hunt and peck" here.
For some ungodly reason, it's perfectly OK to post FREE classified ads here on FTE, but try to mention them here in the forums without being a paying sponsor (there's a couple here that I prefer to call something else, something to do with critters) and WHOA UNTO YOU!!!!!!!!!!! This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
not like I was trying to sell it here, I would have put it on Ebay... local sale only... I'm a two finger typer that can't spel but I gots lots to sa.... lol... Oh well...
I saw your post about the nice 63 Falcon for three thousand bucks and even replied to it. I tried to follow the link to that post from my email, but this led to a "you do not have permission to access this page.
Sorry dude, that's one of those grey areas. People often make a post like that and say they're only asking for a valuation but hope that maybe someone will bite and respond to their ad. If you'd posted the basic info but not the links, I probably could have let it stay unless it started to turn into a mess with people posting offers and so on. Happens all the time, don't feel singled out.
For the most part, you guys in here make my job really easy and I don't have to do much except clean up the odd double post now and then, so I've taken a pretty much hands off approach to this forum.
This also isn't really the place to discuss this. If you want to talk with me about it further, please PM or email me.
For Sale items are not allowed in the automotive and general discussion forums of FTE. We have a Classifieds section that you can list your items in. Want ads are allowed in the forums so long as you post a follow-up when you find the part(s). Vehicle value discussions are permitted, however, if we find it turning into a for sale thread, the thread will be removed.
I don't make the rules. However, I do agree with them and enforce them.
<TABLE><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width="100%">I was not trying to sell anything here... no one was turning into a for sale thread, just a simple what's is worth.... I didn't see a problem with it at all, but rules are rules I guess ....... my bad....
so where does one ask I question like that? ice is thin here a....

If you had simply posted what you were trying to sell and asked if it was good price, it would have been okay. The links to the craigslist ads are what made it look more like a "for sale" post.
