Starting problem.

My truck has been giving me trouble starting up. It first started once in a while when you hit the key you just hear a click and then nothing, hit the key again and fires right up. This has been increasing in frequency requiring maybe 10 tries. I suspect the starter solenoid but have not checked it out as of yet. The weird thing that has happened recently is the door locks cycle up and down when it finally stars up. Anyone know what the cause of the door locks cycling is?

I would think selonoid or a sticky armature, the reason the door locks are probably cycling is because when you flip the key that many times you are getting into the program mode for the locks.

Thanks, I know remember programming a new lock remote a while back and this makes sense.

Might want to check the small wire at the starter, mine was green, I cleaned and tightened it, now it starts great.
