Transmission options

what can i do to upgrade my transmission besides just a torque convertor without either getting a performance rebuild or a whole tranny? I'm looking for something that can help to cure the 2nd-3rd sloppy shift problem since tunning doesn't seem to help much.

also can we get aftermarket valve bodies for the torqueshift?

The 2-3 will ALWAYS be a sloppy shift, due to what's going on during the shift.

Yes ive read ur post but my concern lies with just how sloppy it is. it can't be good on the clutches for it to slip that much durring that shift. But so ur saying that no matter what part i get or how high end of a tranny i get here is nothing that anyone can do to fix this? seems like the torqueshift isn't as good of a transmission as what i thought it was.

If the tuning wont get rid of it, is it throughing any codes. Could be a solenoid acting up. There are no valves in our trannies to replace just solenoids.

nothing that the sct can pick up. and im still trying to ge ahold of matt to see if there is anything else he can do but as far as turning up the shift pressure its useless in the 2nd-3rd shift.

Blaine,

You are right about this, except that the OD unit is in the front of the trans and the three speed portion is the rear half.

ok so if there are only solenoids then is there some kind of shift kit or line/pump upgrade that i could do to get better performance and atleast minimize the effects of the 2nd-3rd shift?

I don't suppose you've got an online picture of the innards of a 5R110 running around anywhere, do you? I'd like to see if I can sort out how it works.
