does anyone have any pics of their valvetrain?i have some diesel books i been reading learning on but all the pics r the older 7.3 idi engines and are the 2 valve heads. we have 4 valve heads if im not mistaken.and im looking for some pics of the valves and what the setup looks like on our 4 valve heads.thnx
No, there is 8 valves on each side. But each cylinder has two valves. One intake One exhaust. No one makes a direct drop on 4v head. If it did i guarantee it wouldn't use the crappy HEUI system. I can't wait for someone to release a new set of 4v heads with improved head flow into the runners, 4 valves, dual rate springs with common rail injectors. The common rail pump part isnt the hard thing, its getting them into the heads.
yea that would be nice.i actually hate 2v heads.but i guess its cool and ill jus wait around to see if anyone makes an upgrade kit for fuel and valves for the 7.3 in the next 10 years
