I have a 2008 F350 CC 6.4 4x4, I have noticed when I put a substatial amount of weight in the bed or hook up my fifth wheel, that I get a lot of noise from the suspension. To describe it is tough, lots of squeaks and clanks. Is this normal? The truck only has 2500 miles on it and was bought in june 07. Yes this a job one truck. I haven't had a dealer check it out yet, I thought I would see if others have the same issue.
If you are refering to a sort of low speed shudder when starting out under heavy load..yes ..we have that and as we understand they all do.It is a design flaw in the drive shaft and Fords is.....working on it.....there is no fix...yet..... and exactly what is the difference between the job 1, 2, 3 trucks other than some additional options.I see no mention of any changes in the drive train???

This question has been asnwered many times in other posts. But the difference is options, air dam change, and build dates. But the noise I am reffering to is almost like loose parts, lots of squeaking mostly. maybe the leaf prings haven't gotten loosened up enough yet. I am not sure.

I have heard the same noise you are talking about. I've only heard when i was rolling slow with a good load going over a speed bump or somthing to compress the suspension with the window down. I traced it down to were the springs attach to the rear spring hangers, i left i along because i did know if sparying somthing in there would make it worse or better and the fact that i never hear it with the windows up.
Ok.. I have no such noise.Actually I am impressed with how quiet this truck is. Had a friend with me yesterday who drives a Ford 3/4 ton V-10 and he could not believe how quiet this 6.4L was and how comfortable the ride was. My 05 V-10 was also a very quite truck with no body noises after 26K miles.

Can't say anything about the "clanks" but the squeaks could be from the leaf springs. Mine will do this when I really twist the frame (ie. heavy load and pulling up on a high curb to get to a job) and my noise definitely comes from the springs.
