Trans Temp 6-Speed
Buying a "newer", 01 SD with a 6-speed in it and going to install EGT and Boost gauges like I have in my 99, but was wondering if I should also add in the trans temp for a manual trans. 99 has all three gauges added to it. Trans temp saved my butt (pocket book) a few years ago pulling 5th wheel trailer in the mountains on a hot summer day.
Somewhere I read that it would be a good idea but other than that I have no other info. If I remember correctly the artical said that even the manual trans have coolers on the SD's.
Please bring me up to speed on what is right or wrong with my memory.
