I did the fendersleeve with mine, and have never had an issue with the minder tripping. My filter is not badly soiled either.

That being said, I was comfortable going with the fendersleeve because I don't live in an extraordinarily dirty or dusty area, such as Neal described.....or else I would have had second thoughts. As it is though, I was underhood yesterday moving the batteries around so I could install the Silverstar Ultra bulbs, and saw the flap Neal mentions......if it is in the way, I could easily see where it could be an issue. Good reminder Neal.

I had the same problem with the rubber flap, but I was able to tuck it out of the way. I probably should have cut it. I found it when I did my Zoodad mod. I picked up ~2 MPG just by moving the shield and doing the Zoodad! I am looking at the AIS next.

My issue with the AIS was the fact that the filter wants to suck from the bottom, which is almost butted up against the bottom of the filter housing. (i think theres only an inch) Either way, the 6.0 intake has made me very happy.
How did you mount the 6.0 intake? Do you have any pics of the way it is mounted? I have heard about this but have never seen it installed!

I don't even use the filter minder anymore now that I've got the 6637. I think it's sorta worthless anyways. I just monitor how clean the filter is, and change accordingly....

Heres Clux's gallery, I havent taken pictures of mine. I used an oem 6oh battery tray, cut it down, and used aluminum angle to re mount it. Then got a 2gauge battery cable from pepboys, and used that for the + side, so I didnt have to run the positive accross the engine. Ill try to get pics tomarro if the weather prevails.
