good idea on the poll, i am curious to see what the population distribution here is. let's hope people don't start arguing and get it closed.

'99 5.4 here... not a single mechanical problem, just wish it had more power... but i still love it.

5.4L V-8 here - like everyone probably knows that, I seem to be one of the biggest 5.4L cheerleaders - 30,000 miles on it, she's never been back to the dealership for any warranty work.

Regrets?

First, I replaced a 1995 F-150 SC 4x4. I got a truck with twice the capability, yet gets about the same fuel economy. Why did I wait to get this truck?

A 4.10 differential probably would match my needs a little better. I am still considering changing the ring and pinion gears.

'99 model here - V10 - 4.30 gearing 4wd DRW

134K no problems and power to spare, but never tow over 15K regularly.

I voted 6.0 because that's what I drive now, but I also own a F150 with a 5.4 in it that my son drives and it's got 150,000 on it with no major problems.

I've got the V10. Plenty of power...plenty of torque. My only regret is that I have a heavy foot and the gas is killin me!

Someday when I'm out of college...I'll upgrade to diesel!!!

03 V10 with a Whipple. No mechanical problems. Seat back has broken twice. Great truck!

02 7.3. A few minor problems in 130,000 miles but nothing drastic. Was my daily driver til Diesel hit $3.30 a gallon.

Supercharger coming off the V10 and will be the daily driver. Gas is $2.79. mileage is within 3mpg for both.
