sway bar diameter
I've got an 01 F-250, 4x4, 5.4L, ext. cab. I've been trying to size the sway bar for new bushings but am not sure about my measurements. All the research I've done points to the truck having a 1-1/4" dia. sway bar. Does anyone know if this is true for all 01 model trucks? The Energy Suspension catalog only lists one size bushing for the 99-04 trucks. BTW the part number I'm interested in is 4-5186. It says this comes with the parts to service the endlinks as well. Has anyone used this kit? I'd be interested to hear results as I didn't think the endlinks were serviceable. Thanks for the help in advance guys.

The bar is 1 1/4. You have to use and 10-20 ton press to get the old bushings out of the end links. I read some confilcting info about energy suspesion and the compatability of the sway bar bushings to the end links. So I decided to go to napa and get a set of spicer endlinks and TRW bar bushings. Took about 45 minutes to replace all the components. The hardest thing was breaking the nuts loose. Ford used locktite during assembly.

Well thanks for the info on the bar...I was hoping to be able to service the links but no one really seems to know for sure if its possible. The dealer tells me that I shouldn't by endlinks from anyone but them because they have an updated design. I took a look at the one at the dealer and it looked the same as my old one lol. Anyway was really just trying to get out of spending $60 per side on endlinks. Thanks for the help though!
