Where do yall stay?
Hey guys, my wife's uncle's cabin is reserved the nights we needed it for the Pigeon Forge show in June. I was wondering if any of you guys had stayed at different places and would recommend some of them and which ones NOT to stay in? We usually stay in his cabin, so a new place is scarey for us? I know some of you guys go to alot of different shows down there and stuff so maybe you could help us out?
Thanks and GOD bless

A buddy of mine always stays at the the "Valley Forge". He says that there is a lot of activity in the area but the parking is minimal. I am guessing that they are already full but.... He goes to Shades of the Past every year. Location and price is the biggest issue. Most of the motels are nice enough for a two or three day stay.

My family goes for the shades of the past in September and we stay at The Willowbrook. It is very comfortable for a hotel. We used to stay in the cabins in Eagles Ridge. I prefer the cabins but my dad doesn't like to leave his car on the strip and be that far away. It is about a mile from the strip behind the red roof mall. They are very nice cabins.

It is primarily for our year trucks, but I think they let the other years in too. Donald (Tacson) has pics from last year's show, cause he went. He posted in another thread a while back??? I dont know when or where, but maybe he'll chime in. I'd like to meet some of you cats!

We don't like staying right on the strip... too much traffic.
We have stayed at the Apple Valley Comfort Inn.. It 's right on the creek that divides Sevierville from Pigeon forge in front of the Apple Barn restaurant.
We don't mind driving down to the show and parking on the street (when it was at the Grand) and at night we're away from the noise and traffic. I'm not one to lawnchair lounge on the sidewalk anyway... We've stayed there since they opened back in the 90's and they are always rated high by the Comfort Inn Chain.

I just checked.... rooms available king/non smoking is 111.00 a nite

Truxx 1956, Try patriot getaways. They have nice cabins, but off course you'll be paying high prices for the time of year you'll be there. They are ery courteous people. Me and my wife stayed a few nights during the winter time and got snowed in, they let us stay an extra dayfor free and even sent someone around to check if we needed any supplies.
