I've seen the adds for this thing in a few mags and on Spike TV for a little bit and I'm wondering if anyone has used one yet...whether it be gas or diesel....I checked out their website and they only make them for 88 F-150's 88 F-250's and 87-2004 Mustangs.Lemme know if anyone has heard anything...I'm interested in getting one.
I heard from people on here it is a snake oil. On spike they did an engine test with and without. It did better with but who knows, Fitch probably paid them.
Gimmick. I believe the show you saw it on was either "Two Guys Garage" or "Shadetree Mechanic" (basically the same show, different name). Those guys continuously tout gimmicks like this. Heck, I remember seeing the show where they installed a Tornado in the intake tube of a car they were "working on".
Yea, horsepower TV did a show with it......I was just curious...but could something that's warranted for 250k be a gimmick I wonder?Who knows.....Maybe I'll give it a shot.
Well.... If you do go for it, let us know what happens. It would be nice to see some of these gimicks put to a real test. I looked it up for my truck and I am not willing to part with $177.00 plus $14.00 shipping at this time. I don't need power, I need mileage. In another three months, I will park the truck and start riding the bike again so I am not too concerned about fuel. Just my opinion.
I used to work in a snowmobile shop that had this for sale. We never sold a single set, so the boss told me to go ahead and try it if i wanted. There were two drop in style pieces in a package. I grabbed two packages and put two in each tank, fueled up and kept track of my mileage for a while. I never did notice a difference.
I ended up replacing a fuel pump in my front tank two falls ago and they looked the same as when I had put them in. I figured they couldn't hurt so i left them in.
I almost forgot, they actually got stuck in my filler hoses when i put them in so I ended up taking the hoses off to actually get them in the tanks.
