I'm missing something maybe but I would go with a power assist ram and you should
be able to keep your stock column http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/c-33.
Don't cut your self short you can use the stronger e series of trans with their computer
to control the tranny, plus it has the ability to tune the shift points and such.

Sorry this is what im doing. The truck was a manual transmission and now it will be an automatic. So it does not have a sector on the column for the trans.I would like too know what years can I get to make one work with my truck?

You will want to know what year gearbox will work. So long as you get that the colum shouldn't be a problem. For the pump you may need to make a brakcet.
What engine do you have?
You may be able to pull the box, colum, pump, and brakcet, and bolt it right on.

Came across couple articles:'installing p/s F100 4X4', 'shortening a steering column', 'installing tilt steering', 'rebuilding steering column'. Anyhow, already installed p/s, and front disc on 65 F100 so just kinda browsed the article and not sure whether they would be of any help. That being said, the articles are in another Ford truck forum, if interested, run a google search "the 67-72 Ford pickup Resource" and should take you to the list of tech articles.

Assuming you are doing the conversion (under Steering - the 4x4 F-100 article) as outlined in the tech library, you can adapt the years from 1968-1979 from any Ford truck to fit the F-100.

Unless you are really set on the column shifter, I would go floor shifter anyways. Linkage is much less complicated and tighter for a floor shifter.

Cut the access panel in the floor down the middle (either horz. or vertical - I did mine horz. ? ) so it is easy to remove without taking the bench seat out.
