Crossram Intake

Has anyone used or experienced one of Edelbrocks old X-F8 Cross Ram intakes? Check them out...

My dad has one that he never ran. I think I'm going to try it on the 302 I'm building. I'll have to find some small carbs, and I'm sure it will be a bear to set up. Any thoughts?

That thing looks like it breaths all around. It would be real cool in an old school vehicle.

I wish it were mine

I've tuned tunnel ram 302s w. 2-660 center squirters on top. These were drag race only so they were not over carbed. I tuned a 377 nascar style crossram motor that was a pain. The plenum was common to both carbs so there had to be a divider welded in to make it driveable on the street. The carbs were 390 cfm units and required a lot of tuning to get them right. The divider caused the carbs to see 2 4 cylinder engines and they were set up originally for a single carb 8 cylinder. If the manifold you are showing has these problems you now know what you are faced with.
