Ya know, having three girls and no boys, I thought my years of raising kids would be easy.
You know...mom would be taking care of all the "girl" things that girls want, I'd be on easy street just approving the money/etc, to get it done...
Oh geez, I couldn't have been more wrong..
Today it kinda hit home...I guess I got into the routine of the "Horse" thing with my oldest, as I had horses as a kid...and horses are as much a "girl" thing as a "guy" thing...plus, it's really too hard of work for the wife to take care of...
And I guess it was real fun for me to make/build/fix quads for them too...heck, my dad built me my first Go-Kart, bought me a few dirt bikes, etc...now with quads out (that were not around when I was a kid), I figured, hey, fun for me, fun for them...
So now my 10 YO want's to play softball, so I signed her up the other day...and today we went out shopping for a T-Ball setup, gloves/etc...of course the other two girls want to play now...so looks like I'll be fixing up the back for a mini-Fenway
I guess my point of reflection here is all the hobbies my girls show interest in are the same ones I had as a kid...least I can help them out...but sure makes me wonder what ever happen to "Sugar and Spice and everything nice".
It is great are close to your daughters. You and Alesha (sorry If I spelled her name wrong) are doing a great job raising them. I wish you luck during the middle school years.
And what exactly does this have to do with Ford Trucks?
Just kidding. I wish I have such beatiful kids to brag about. I'm really liking the open forum that is happening here. What's a few getting to know you threads between friends.
The thing about the Chapter forum is...the topics don't neccessarily have to be Ford truck related. It's like our own personal General Conversation forum, we can talk about whatever we like (although it still needs to meet the FTE NSFW/Language requirements, and we're pretty darn good about that in here!) be it Ford truck topics or not...
Actually, even that topic wouldn't be out of line in here. It's sort of like the General Automotive and General Non-Automotive forums with a slight dash of the Club Members Only forum all rolled into one, but with our own regional slant on the topics.
