I recently had the booster go out so I ordered a reman booster and master cylinder combo. Well when i go to press the brake it have brakes but the brakes stay engaged, and the pedal stays to the floor. So I ordered a new one which i got today and upon disconnecting the brake pedal I think i found where I might have caused the problem my self. Could putting the brake arm on the inside (the gas pedal side) of the brake pedal cause it. Which side is it supposed to be on.
Just replaced the Booster, Master and hard brake lines to the proporting valve on my sons 77 F150. Also did new rotors and calipers.
Just to double check did you
0) Have fluid in the system
1) Is the check valve OK or new
2) Bleed the brakes-while opening the push rod on the portioning valve
3) How are your calipers/ rotors- could one be jammed tight? Do the front wheels spin freely when lifted.
4) Are pins that connect Booster bracket to the brake pedel jammed or siezed
