I`m sorry to hear that, I know I`d miss my tools alot if that happened.
Isn`t seizing your contents too drastic after only three months?
I suppose that`s their legal right but still seems very unfair, especially under these circumstances.....
after 45 days, they tried to contact dad, he didn't reply or respond. after 90 everything went to auction. I didn't find this out until Aug of last year, They went to Auction in May.
I bought a 1000lb engine stand at Princess Auto on sale, no problem for it with the 292 Y-Block. I can`t remember what I paid for it but it was only afew $ more over the puny 750lb one.
Dad got the same one, ours is holding my 352 with no prob.
I actually don't have much planned for tool purchases, just basic hand tools for delivery.
I am looking at an upright "portable" compressor. I have a homemade one right now and it is okay for tires but has no staying power. House of Tools hopefully has the model I want.
Quality doesn`t cost, most of the time it pays. Porter Cable maybe American made which says alot.
There`s a lot of cheap junk out there and I think it`s better to buy the better line when it comes to something you`ll use for a long time. Having said that I`d prefer to buy from Princess Auto simply because of their good ''no questions asked'' guarranty.
I`ve had a warranty problem with the House of Tools and for the most part have avoided them since......
i'll spend the money for good stuff too. that being said, i have to agree with you on the princess auto stuff. quite often decent and love the return policy!!
i was going to buy the 2000 lbs engine stand at princess auto when it was on sale, seemed like a good idea, and would hold anything you can put up there.
Some stuff from princess auto is ok. Some stuff is crappy but its cheap in price so you cant expect a whole lot for the price.
