Just wondering, why doesn't anyone use the West Coast Mirrors any more? When I was driving [20 years ago] they were great. I've always added them to my personal trucks since then. They make them with heating elements also.
A couple of quick reasons I can think of....
1) they block part of your vision on both sides of the truck
2) not as stylish as the Ford towing mirrors
3) potential noise increase with the larger mirrors
Too bad I couldn't cut away that section between the top mirror and the (nfg) bottom glass and install one full glass that would still be power and heated.

Yeah, that with a convex mounted on the support arm would be nice!
If you look at the newer rigs, you'll see that they're sporting some nice West Coast sized mirrors but on a single support arm...some on top, some on the bottom.
If you're serious, you can get a downsized model and play with wiring to make it work.
I finally got the F750 mirrors on. I LOVE them. I can actually see behind me without having to move my head all over to get the angle I want. They're nice and quiet, I have a nice, large convex on each side and they're original Ford parts.
Can't beat it!!!
