rust

my friend just picked up a 78 f150 or maybe f100 i dont know.

anyway the 351 runs strong but the body is in pretty bad shape, their is alot of rust.

is there any fixing to it or just drive it till it rusts apart, its not a daily driver anyway.

Provided his state requires an inspection, not all do.

I think it's up to the owner to decide whether to repair rust or not - the depth of Ford truck love goes hand in hand with the weight of one's wallet. Either way, just make sure it's safe. I ripped the seat belt right out of a rusted floor one morning.
