ABS light on

ABS light on
My ABS came on today. Would the culprit be the vss sensor on the rear pumpkin? or is there something else it could be? thanks

Mine came on the other night on the way to work, when I moved my truck at break time it was still on so I goosed it spun the tires about 5' and it went out . It's still out but I'm thinking about getting a vss the dealer down here wants $30.00.

Given the alternatives, the VSS is still the least expensive thing to try.

now my speedo dose not work until the tach is at about 1600 rmp. is this still the vss?

Faulty VSS will cause the speedometer to act up as well.

I had all the same symptoms because of a bad VSS, plus a blinking OD light. That's what you will probably see next.

The VSS is in the transmission, the ABS Speed Sensor is in the differential.
