Talking Bigger engine for f250 help?

OK so I've had my truck for about a month now and have been messing with it a little bit. I have big dreams for it though and it might sound crazy. Right now its a 1984 f-250 with the 460 hell ya! Its all primer and stock except for the recent parts i put into it which are (magnaflow exhaust, holly carb, k&n air filter, new plugs wires cap and rotor.) Now the question i have is. How hard will it be and is it smart to bore the engine out to the 502 boss size?? i am wanting to do this and put high performance pistons and pretty much rebuild the engine and sc it? is that overly dumb? im wanting a power house if a truck but cant stand diesels i think they suck ***.... so ya any ideas or sugestions help alot

I would go diesel for crawling just because of the torque ... Gassers have the rpm but diesel has the torque ... IMHO ...

just build you a 557 with a good set of heads. this should give you enough power,torque to rip some things out from under your truck lol just kidding. but built right it will give you well over 600 hp without a SC.depends on how much gas you can a-ford?kits are all over ebay for them

ok so buy a build a 557? or build mine up to that? im newer when it comes to trucks used to be a ricer. lol

I would build it myself but it depends on how much experience you have.
I would dissasemble, send the block to be acid dipped, and rebuild with the stroker kit.

ok makes sense. and sounds freaking sweet! how much total cost would it be cuz i can disassemble my block and reassemble it easy. but how much for the acid dip and to buy the stroker kit??

Just $8000 or better. Stroker kit probably $500, hot tank not too expensive, plus bore, pistons etc. Adds up. You got an engine stand, all the tools, a place to work on it where the dust won't get you etc?

Can you stand the thought of doing something wrong and having to do another complete teardown?

Maybe just chrome valve covers and drill out the back of the aircleaner....
