I think my truck needs a new radiator becauese it has a pinhole that will close up with stop leak but if I get on the truck hard it will start to leak and then close up again later. I work in a body shop and in one of our books I can get a new one for 175 so is that a good price or do I have better options.
You can have the leak soldered shut for under $20. Take the radiator out and inspect it. If it just has one pinhole leak and is otherwise in good shape, you're better off repairing your current one. If you find that it has already been patched in multiple places, you're better off just getting a new one because it's getting old. You can tell where it has been patched because the metal will look "melted" and the fins around the patch may be bent. Also, if there is any discoloration on any of the patches, they're getting ready to leak too.
Radiator is made of Copper and brass, the Copper turns green when exposed to the elements. Take it to a radiator shop. Let them test it for ya. They should be able to give you a honest answer if its worth fixing or not.
Sounds ok. I looked on autozone and looked up 73 F100 with a 360 and their price depending on which one you need was $140-400. I would say $175 is a decent price.
