What do you guys like? I searched this..... not sure if its been done. Im looking at buying a psd and have test drove both the srw long bed and short beds in both a 250 and a 350 . With consideration as to parking, drivabilty, and towing capabilities. What do you guys prefer. and include if you'd rather have a 250 or a 350

The bigger the better for me. I can keep my tools and such under my Truxedo and when the weekend comes I have room for the family in the spacious crew cab.
For towing, long bed, crew cab, dually. This is the best package for towing. I tried others and you can't beat this. Not the best for parking in town, but can be done.
Beings you ask for parking and visability I have to say the shortest possibe, but a shortbox reg SD is not available, which I think I accidentally picked. I would never have a shortbox again as a primary pickup. Maybe as a garaged sunday driver type deal. I have large tool box and once you take that out of a shortbox your box gets very small.
The cab all depends on your use. If all you do is haul your own butt around and dont need any additional space then a reg cab works, but if your pickup is your office then the extra space of a SC is nice and if you need to take more than a couple people w/ you very often the CC is handy.
Same here, the bigger the better for me too. I don't know that I could ever go back to having a short bed. When me and 2 of my boys want to go riding, I can fit all 3 atv's ('05 Kodiak, Redcat 80 & 110) in the back of my truck (long bed). I don't do that often, but if I'm going to a place where I can't get my flat bed trailer in, they all go in the back of the truck.
Not to mention, I used to camp in the back of my truck and I'm 6'3, would be a pain being in a 6' bed...
I just wish mine was a crew cab, tired of the kids kicking the back of my seat!!!
I dont know if your planning on new or used, but I can say my dads 05 cc longbed with coil front springs turns alot better than my 04 cc shortbed with leafsprings. I think if I were going to buy A new truck I would go for the longbed f-350 dually just because you never know down the road if you might want A 5th wheel camper or x-tra room to haul something.

well im only 21. as for right now no plans for a 5th wheel. by that time hopefully ill have a new truck. i do plan on towing a 20 ft enclosed trailer with my race car to the track and surrounding states for races. well the poll so far shows alot like the long bed crew cab
The long bed is better for your health. Here's why: I park my CC/LB out where no one else parks. I'm healthier because:
1) I walk further.
2) I don't stress over finding a park spot close.
3) I don't worry as much getting door-dinged.
I wish they made them longer than 8'. It sounds like you are the type of guy who is going to use the truck as a truck. I'm about your age too, only me and the wife, no kids. The supercab (ext. cab) is plenty big for occasional riders and the "clean" stuff I haul around. I definately agree that once you put a toolbox or fuel tank in a shortbed, you don't have much space left. That's why I own and voted ext. cab long bed. If you know how to drive, which it sounds like you do, you will have no problems parking. If I did it again though, I probably would have gone with the CC since the supercab longbed is not that ungainly at all.
how do you guys with a longbed park in crowded places?? i live in las vegas so half the time there are no open spaces unless you park across the streets. i was thinking back in?? that way the bed can hang over the parking curb rather than out into the driving lane
i recently bought a long bed and will never go back to short bed again. it is so nice being able to go hunting or camping and fit everything into one truck.
