Hey guy's and gal's, I bought my first F-150. Its a 2004 FX4 extended cab.
I decided to install a leveling kit on the front end, and I accidentally knocked off one of the vacc. lines to the 4x4 solenoide. I put it back on and thought nothing of it, untill the next time I needed 4x4 high. Before the leveling kit, going from 2wd to 4x4 high only took about half a second to engauge, but after the leveling kit it seems likeif I don't wait five seconds before pushing on the gas the truck will move forward and then a heavy clunk from the front side where I knocked off the vacc. line. What would cause the delay? Do I need to apply vacc. to the line before I install it back on the solenoide?
I appreciate all the help
I'm not sure how to check for vacuum leaks, I've never had it happen to me,I've only heard it happen to other people and they usually took it to the dealer and didn't know how they fixed it. If it is a leaky line or fitting you just need to replace it. Maybe someone else here would know.
