Solved everything except the ignition problems... till now. I opted to pull an old Duraspark (original magnetic breakerless) distributor and box. Figured how to wire it into a old car such as mine
Ohhhhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa. smooth as could be. I'd honestly put it on par with a good aftermarket mag. breakerless system...at about 1/10th the price from a boneyard. Throttle response is insane, full power up to redline, no spark drop off (I suppose a reworked Mallory 55,000 volt Promaster coil helps some too..) and all the rest of the good stuff. I hope to get into the 13-second range with this engine..
