CTR8 Flash vs. Fuel Milage

Last December (07) had my X in for something or other and Ford reflashed from CTR5 to CTR8. Seems like milage went from bad to TERRIBLE after the flash. Plan on asking Ford why they did it but thought I would ask all here for opinions. What was change from CTR5 to CTR8 and has anyone else noticed a major decrease in milage since new flash?

Was the truck in for a driveability issue, if it wasn't they shouldn't have flashed it anyway. At least that is what my dealer told me when I asked if they could reflash mine.
