got a motor

well i bought a motor finaly..but i have a question i was looking at the intake and it looks alittle diff. from mine... my truck is a 2004 f250 and the sticker on the other motor says 2003...will this work of did i just waste money???

the 03 intake manifold is a complete "loop" whereas the 04-up is more of a "horseshoe" shaped one.
there are minor differences between the two motors, and there are some major differences in the electronics/programming between them...

what exactly is the reason you need a new motor ??

well the ford place said the motor was sludge up form the oil cooler so they told me it would be best to buy a new motor....so ive ben looking for awhile and i finaly bought one but it it the one with the loop intake.....how hard would it be to make that motor work???

ricg somewhere in here someone posted all the differences between the builds of the motors.I thought it was in the tech folder but just looked and didnt find it in there.If you take the time to search it out you should be able to find it.What MY is the new motor?If you get nowhere try a pm to one of the techs ie blackhat bowtiehater or valoney.

damn there are alot of things that were changed from 03 to 04...im sorry i really dont have time to searchcause im at work so i just try to post stuff and get alittle bit of help...so i guess what im want to know is will it work nd if so will it be worth the trouble????

i wouldn't use the 03 motor personally, the money could be better spent rebuilding your motor w/new bearings and head studs while you're at it.
