Hi. I'm new to this forum; I just bought a 1964 F-100.
It's a 292 V8 with a 4 speed, 2wd longbed. It is a very solid South Dakota truck; no rust except for some very minor "pitina" on the hood and roof, and on some scratches in the bed. The truck is completely original, down to the battery cables. The OD reads 22,000 miles; The guy I bought it off of swears that this is the original mileage but I guess it could be 122,000 - who knows (the title doesn't have mileage on it). The interior is in great shape though, and the steering and gearbox seem to be fairly tight, so maybe it really is a low mileage truck. I'm sure it needs a tune-up and some new gas, but I was able to drive it home (probably needs a carb re-build too). I gave $2600 for it...not sure if that is a good deal or not, but its hard to find a rust free truck in Ohio and I really wanted this truck (I am a Ford fanatic).
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself - I am looking forward to getting this old truck back into good running condition.
Welcome and Congratulations to a fellow 64 owner! Sounds like a nice truck at a reasonable price. Looking forward to seeing pics.

The brake and clutch pedals will give an indication on if the odometer has been rolled over. 22,000 miles won't have much wear on them but 122,000 will. Welcome to FTE sounds like a good deal at 122,000 and a better one at 22,000.
As others have posted; welcome aboard; sounds like you got yourself a great Slick there. That's a fair to both side price; post your vin dataplate, we'll decode your complete info on your 64. Looking forward to some pic's as well. Again welcome.
Welcome, I have only been here a short time myself, alot of good info here. Shoot I am still looking through the old post and learn something every time I look.
you did pretty good...seat insert material doesnt look original, but the floor mat looks pretty darn good...good thing as I dont think they are being repopped like that style.

Yeah, I thought that seat looked suspicious...It also has some plastic on each side that snaps onto the hinge. It's the only plastic I have found on the whole truck (not counting bakelite *****). I didn't think they used plastic on trucks back then.
