Milodon lists Hi-Volume/Hi-Pressure oil pumps with a press-on pickup tube for standard 429/460 applications and a dual inlet unit with bolt-on pickup for the SCJ.
I've always used the press-on unit and was wondering if someone can tell me if the SCJ model can be used in my front-sump econoline pan.

If anyone out there has a SCJ pan and could measure the depth of the sump, Georgedavila could then compare it to the depth of the van pan. A standard 429-460 oil pump for a rear sump pan has a 90 degree inlet for the pick-up tube, while a CJ/SCJ front sump oil pump has an inlet that's around a 45 degree angle.
As an alternative you can always tack weld the push-in style oil pick-up to the pump for "piece of mind".

I don't have a Cobra Jet pan but I have a pan for a boat application using the CJ dual inlet pump. The front of the pan is 8 5/16 inchs deep and tapper back to 7 5/8 inchs. Hope this helps.
