brake lines

i need to replace my rear brake line from the master cylinder back. The brake hose to the the cab is just standard brake line but it switchs to a different types of fittings right at the cab. I know the end that connects to the standard line is a regular female fitting but i don't know what fitting will screw into the master cylinder. Will i have to find the fitting and make the flare myself? Also would they sell this at advanced auto? Ive never had to replace the line before so im new to all this. I stripped/busted ever connection on the damn thing but, in fairness to me they were in pretty bad shape

i wnt to local NAPA and they had a straight tube coupling, made of high strength steel that i beleiv will hold 6000 psi. You cut the end of the new tube square, and cut the old tube from the master cylinder, maybe 6-8 inches long and reuse the top few inches. slide both into the special high pressure compression fitting and tighten. no flare needed. this is a great way to retain the special fitting ends, if you cant find them.

get the smallest pipe wrench you can find...it will get the tube nuts out if you haven't allready...now....with premade straight brakelines...and the appropriate adapter nuts which are available at Napa, Bumper to Bumper,etc....and a tubing bender...you can get the job done pretty easy......you might check with LMC truck to see if they offer the factory bent lines as well....
