08 SD changing mirror lights ?'s
well I am going to start on my lights, for christmas my cousin got me recond fender flare led's and mirror led's both smoked, just a few questions on what procedures I should take?? anything I should know ahead of time?? I am not sure exactly how im going to take everything apart, and not sure if im going to try for the fender flare lights tonight or not

You have to move the mirror with the switch on inside, so the mirror is tilted away at each corner.look behind the mirror glass you will see a plastic tab in each corner that holds the cover on.Gently with a flat blade scredriver move the tab so it releases the cover.Then reposition the mirror with the switch to get the next tab .
There is a tab in each corner on the mirror.
hold your hand or have someonelse hold the cover so it doesn't fall to the ground and break,when you release the last tab.

the mirror lights take about 2 minutes per side. look behind the glass, and you will see a silver tab. push the tab and the lens will come out. The fender lights come out by going underneath the wheel well. easy ..
