oh yea, i cant buy it, im way out in california, its 2800 miles away and like you said, i would have to be able to look over every inch of the truck and drive it and whatnot before taking that jump...
oh yea, real clean... didnt sell... hehe wonder if he will repost cheaper. its got low low miles, i mean only 138K, but it still needs new carpet, aparently he cut it up for some reason :S i wonder what people think sometimes. probably needs other work too
If someone can't even take the time to vaccum the f'in carpet in a truck before they post a for sale ad they'll have to pay me to take it off their hands- if they can't clean the carpet then chances are they can't keep up on some of the more important stuff either. I wonder why it has so many new parts? Probably because the owner didn't do crap to it, it fell apart and now he's trying to off it and cut his losses.
thats what i was wondering too... i emailed the guy asking him why he changed the injectors with only 138K on it... he hasnt replied yet, the truck shouldent need new injectors for another 100K...
yup... means, he changed the oil and got rid of all the metal shavings sitting in the pan, changed the tranny fluid to make it pretty and red again not pitch black with burnt rubber smell to it... will run great for 20 miles then fall apart.. hehe
Points.
Thats an oldie!
Show of hands! How many here have adjusted points? And how did you go about adjusting?
Maybe the truck had a carb rebuild to go along with it.
Carb? Whats that?

Well, since you asked I for one have done both. Points and carb rebuilds .. lost technology in this day and age. Heck of a lot easier than changing glow plugs and injectors. A lot cheaper too. Good old days gone and now only computer controlled.
No offense to anyone in the here in the Northern US, but I would never buy a truck from Pennsylvania. Im a Georgia native and I found out the hard way that even the nicest trucks from the Northern states are average at best by Georgia standards. And I am referring specifically to rust. If somebody in Georgia says "no rust" he means 'not any rust". Someone in New york says "no rust" he means "hardly any rust compared to other trucks around here."
Im spoiled I know, but I have been burned once before and now I shop no farther north than Tennessee.
