My truck used to spit and sputter and blow black smoke everywhere until I unplugged the EGR. Tip in from 60 to 70 was a PITA.

The Truck i was working on is 07/04 and it would be like it was cutting fuel when you rev at idle and when you go over 60 km/h it would do the same and jerk the problem we found so far is that the flap at the intake would open and close so we change the flap and no more problem like but now its blowing black smoke and loss of power most probably the intake is blocked up because of the egr we are getting egr codes as well
