was wondering if someone could tell me of a screw that i could buy and not have to modify to get 60 65 psi. reason is im at school and dont have any way of grinding one down.
You should already be at 60-65 psi, shim should bring it up to 68-75 depending on condition of fuel pump. Get several small screws so your ready when you take it apart. I think mine is 4-40 if not its 2-56.
you can always do the bb. i used a daisy bb and took my fuel pressure up to about 90. it drops to about 60at WOT. those are conservative numbers also. it may be as high as 100 and drop to as low as 70. i had trouble finding the shim kits so i just went with the bb. been running it since before christmas and it seems to be holding up fine.
You know the light switch plates that you have all through the house? Use the little mount screw that holds the plate, I've heard (read) that it should work perfectly.
Remember, how much shim you need depends on the condition of your fuel pump. Your shooting for 65-72psi. Good Luck.
all are good on pattys excursion, it drives great. my fuel bowl lid on my truck did crack today though shooting fuel like a guyser into the atmosphere after soaking the engine. luckily i do carry a spare cap in the truck box though as i have heard of them cracking or splitting before. it was messy though and to change it in a coat and tie without getting dirty b/c i had to be at a meeting in 10 minutes was a bit tricky too!! but i had rags as well and things are back to running well now. i really need to do a fuel bowl delete though.

Not trying to disagree, but it can also depend on how tired the spring is. Mine was showing 58 stock and dropping up to 10psi at WOT. I shimmed mine and it runs 68 now dropping to 58 at WOT. So the pump is still good. It is not what it will hold on idle that is as important as what it will hold under wide open throttle.
Grant has had one on his that i made to check PSI after we did C C mod his numbers are on because we used 2 gauges to be sure and his #s are with stock fuel pump. Truck run like rocket on dp tunes.
